While the calls exist, officials say there’s been no credible threats substantiated with any of the calls. .

Beatrice Public School District officials are working with Beatrice Police to ensure student and staff safety….and will remain in an elevated security status through Friday.

Beatrice Police Chief John Hickman says police are taking the calls very seriously along with school officials ….and have increased police presence at school buildings where there is not a school resource officer.

Beatrice Public Schools Assistant Superintendent Dr. Jackie Nielsen says the district has not received any of the hoax threats directly.  No classes have been disrupted and it is business as usual.

The Beatrice District employs school resource officers at both the middle school and high school in a cooperative arrangement with the City of Beatrice.
