Theatre veteran moves up to top job, with Community Players

Tyler Rinne becomes the Player's Director

BEATRICE – A staff member of the Community Players of Beatrice who has been employed with the organization since 2011, is moving up to the top position of Managing Artistic Director.

Tyler Rinne is taking over for Jamie Ulmer, who recently took a position as director of a Lawrence, Kansas theatre organization.  Rinne started volunteering with the Community Players in the summer of 2007.  The organization’s Board of Directors recently announced his hiring. 

He’ll direct the closing shows of this current season….Puffs and The Music Man.  In a news release, Rinne said “maintaining the artistic quality that Community Players has come to be known for, is a priority for me.”

A search committee conducted a four-month national search before offering the position to Rinne.
