BREAKING: Lady O clinch second straight district title

BEATRICE - For the fourth time in six seasons the Beatrice Lady Orange are state bound. The Lady Orange knocked off Bennington 59-35 in the district final to punch their ticket to Lincoln. 

Beatrice went up by 10 early thanks to early buckets from Ellie Jurgens who recorded 12 points in the first half, as did Addie Hatcliff. While Bennington did start the third quarter on a run of their own, Beatrice still went into the fourth up by 18 -- the same amount they were up heading into the second half. 

Beatrice outscored Bennington 14-7 in the fourth quarter to secure the 24 point win. 

With the win Beatrice secures their eighth district title in school history and is headed to state. The Lady O were led in scoring by Ellie Jurgens with 18.
