UPS driver cited for open container, careless driving after crash

LANCASTER COUNTY - A UPS driver was involved in a Lancaster County crash on Wednesday afternoon.
At approximately 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, deputies were sent to a motor vehicle crash in Holland, NE., a town located in southern Lancaster County. The investigation determined a UPS truck was southbound on S. 96th St., south of Panama Road, when it lost control, striking a parked vehicle, utility pole, and eventually striking a house on 96th st.
37-year-old Susan Finke was cited for careless driving and having an open container of alcohol. Finke was tested for DWI, but tested under the legal limit.
The parked vehicle sustained $15,000 in damage, the utility pole, owned by Norris Public Power, sustained $3,500 in damage, the house sustained $30,000 in damage, and the UPS truck sustained $10,000 in damage.
Total damage is estimated around $58,000.
