Deshler organizations awarded grant funds from Cooper Foundation
DESHLER, NE — A community in southeast Nebraska is benefitting from a series of grants awarded by the Cooper Foundation.
DESHLER, NE — A community in southeast Nebraska is benefitting from a series of grants awarded by the Cooper Foundation.
The recipients of the grants was announced by Midwest Bank Wednesday. The Deshler Lutheran School, Deshler Public Schools, Deshler Public Library Foundation and Foundation of Thayer County Health Services is receiving money from the Cooper Foundation which is affiliated with Midwest Bank.
The Lutheran Schools is receiving $1,000 for their backpack program. Deshler Public Schools also received $1,000 to go toward the FFA's greenhouse project.
Deshler Public Library is getting $1,000 for a photo kiosk and Thayer County Health Service will get $500 for ophthalmoscopes.
Other communities to receive grants this year includes Creighton, Lincoln, Norfolk, Pierce, Wisner, Pilger, Plainview and York.

The Cooper Foundation awards grant funds annually to non-profit groups in the communities in which Midwest Bank is located.
