McCool Junction High School student dies in crash

McCool Junction Public School will not be having school on Wednesday due to a funeral for a student.

MCCOOL JUNCTION, Neb. -- McCool Junction Public School will not be having school on Wednesday due to a funeral for a student. 

It was reported that 16-year-old Jordan Tol died in a car accident Sunday morning. 

The Fillmore County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash in near Country Road E and Highway 81 north of Fairmont

McCool Junction High School reported the death of a student.

Jordan Tol, 16, died Sunday morning in a car accident.

The Fillmore County Sheriff's Office said deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash in the area of ??Country Road E and Highway 81 north of Fairmont.

It was reported that the vehicle had been driven by Tol, and was stuck by a turning truck. Tol was pronounced dead at the scene. 

McCool Junction Public School posted there will be support for the students and staff throughout the coming days.

There will be no school on Wednesday, Dec. 21, so that those who would like to attend Tol's funeral are able to.

Tol's funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Evangelical Free Church in Geneva. A graveside service will be held in Fairmont Public Cemetery following the service.

Public visitation will be held Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
