Credit card reportedly stolen in Lincoln robbery

A man's credit card was stolen while he was being robbed in Lincoln.

LINCOLN, Neb. -- A man's credit card was reportedly stolen while he was being robbed in Lincoln.

The Lincoln Police Department said police were sent to the 4000 block of S 51st St. on Dec. 17 around 12:30 a.m. for a reported robbery.

Officers said they talked to the 22-year-old victim. He reported that he had answered the door after hearing a knock and saw an unknown man there, wanting to use the victim's phone.

According to authorities, the victim gave the suspect his phone and the suspect reportedly took out a handgun, requesting the victim's credit card. The victim reported that he handed over his card and the suspect fled the area on foot.

Officials said they were able to find the victim's phone and he then canceled his credit card.
