Lincoln Police searching for 19-year-old involved in double shooting
A 19-year old is being sought in relation with a double-shooting in the capital city.
LINCOLN, Neb. -- A 19-year old is being sought in relation to a double-shooting in the capital city.
The Lincoln Police Department said 19-year-old Jason Hernandez is accused of shooting two other party-goers at a home just northeast of the UNL campus.
Hernandez is now charged with felony assault and weapon charges.
Witnesses at the party last week told police they saw Hernandez waving a gun at the party.
According to authorities, an 18-year-old was shot in the chest while a 19-year-old was grazed with a bullet in the shoulder. The man shot in the chest is still hospitalized but in stable condition.
Police said they recovered the gun at the scene. Hernandez is still at large.
