BEATRICE - A Clatonia man is going home with a new Zero Turn Lawn mower thanks to Ol' Red 99.5's "How Mow Will He Go" promotion.

Trevor Steinmeyer drove the Hustler Zero-Turn Riding Lawn Mower 21.64 miles on US-Hwy 136 and it was Clatonia native Steve Neukirch who guessed 21.62 miles to win the prize. Neukirch says he's excited, because he's never won a "big" prize in his life.

"Out of hundreds of raffles over my life time, it's the first time I got lucky, so it feels pretty good," Neukirch said.

Neukirch said the prize won't go to him, but to his wife.

"She does most of the mowing and she wants a zero-turn mower so this is going to go to her," Neukrich said. "We're going to have a bagger attachment put on before we go home and hopefully she'll use it for years to come."

The difference in winning the prize and not was Neukirch's guess of 21.62 miles, as opposed to just 21.6 miles.

"I told my wife, she was entering on the computer and I said 'with my luck and it'll be a tie at 21.6' so we went 21.62," Neukirch said. "Just extremely lucky and extremely fortunate."
