Beatrice Police investigating rash of vandalism incidents

Projectiles fired at vehicle, business and residential windows

BEATRICE – Beatrice Police are seeking the public’s help in solving a rash of vandalism incidents that have occurred in the past month, where a person or persons are firing a projectile from either a sling shot or BB gun to damage windows.

The damage has been done to vehicle windows, residential and business windows at various locations throughout the community. It has included at least four vehicles and a business window at the Twin River’s Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge-Ram dealership in west Beatrice.

The first damage report occurred Aug. 1 and the most recent, Sept. 8. 

Six of the twelve reports police listed where damage has occurred were along Court Street. Others have been reported on Bell, LaSalle, Market and Ella Streets and Union Avenue.

Of the reports received, seven vehicles had glass damage, four businesses and one residence.
