LINCOLN, Neb. -- A church and a store were reportedly broken into Monday evening by two Lincoln teens.

The Lincoln Police Department said police were sent to Bubbles and Blocks, 4930 Lindberg St., around 6:45 p.m. for a burglary after a report of a fire alarm. The officers reportedly saw one of the front windows had been shattered.

Officers said they checked the business and found a fire extinguisher had been used in the building. They were then sent to the Good Shepard Presbyterian Church, 8300 East Pointe Road, about 50 minutes later on the report of two men breaking the church's windows.

According to authorities, they made contact with one of the men, who cooperated with them, while the second man fled on foot. The second man was taken into custody after a brief pursuit on foot. Both were identified as 15-year-olds.

LPD said both of the boys' physical descriptions matched the ones the officers saw on the Bubbles and Blocks security footage. They were both lodged at the Youth Assessment Center and referred for criminal mischief.
