LPD makes arrest in connection to apartment stabbing

The Lincoln Police Department said they made an arrest Wednesday in connection to the apartment shooting that happened Tuesday.

LINCOLN, Neb. -- The Lincoln Police Department said they made an arrest Wednesday in connection to the apartment shooting that happened Tuesday. 

LPD said they arrested and charged 18-year-old Anthony Rouch, of Lincoln. Rouch was charged with first-degree assault and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony. 

Authorities said they had taken Rouch into custody around 12:20 p.m. in the area of N First Street and West Garber Ave. 

LPD investigators continue to look into the stabbing that happened Tuesday around 5:30 p.m. at an apartment complex at N First Street and Belmont Ave. 

The 39-year-old victim's status went from life-threatening injuries to stable condition. 

This is an ongoing investigation.
