BEATRICE – Gage County Sheriff’s Officers and Wymore Police combined efforts to arrest one person and cite another for alleged drug violations near a school.

Authorities served a search warrant late Monday afternoon at a Wymore residence, in the 200-block of North 11th Street.

The search uncovered about 44 grams of marijuana in multiple plastic bags, two digital scales, numerous burnt marijuana blunts, marijuana wax concentrate, a large dish with loose marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Authorities arrested 24-year-old Alyssa Kearn for alleged distribution of marijuana within one thousand feet of a school, child neglect, contributing to the delinquency of a child, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

32-year-old Jonathan Gouin was cited for marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession.

Authorities say the search was connected to an earlier report where a concerned parent found marijuana in her teenage son’s bedroom.  Sheriff’s investigators suspect Kearn of providing the marijuana.
