Two new blocks of concrete street in Beatrice, now open

BEATRICE - A major concrete construction project in Beatrice has been finished and reopened to traffic.  

Construction crews reopened two blocks Tuesday afternoon to through traffic, on Fourth Street from Grant to Lincoln…and on Lincoln from Fourth to Fifth.

The project finished a few days ahead of the estimated completion date.   The City of Beatrice opted to replace the asphalt surface with concrete to handle typically heavy traffic on the streets motorists use as a commuter route.
