Child injured after being struck by vehicle in north Lincoln

LINCOLN, Neb. -- A child was taken to a Lincoln hospital on July 22 following an accident.

The Lincoln Police Department said the child was hit by a vehicle around 2:00 p.m. outside a home near 16th Street and Hilltop Road.

According to authorities, the child was taken to a hospital in an ambulance but the severity of their injuries has not been made public.

Officials said police were dispatched to the scene and an SUV was towed away. The investigation is ongoing.
