Former Mayor of Beatrice passes away

BEATRICE – A man who served as Mayor of Beatrice passed away at the Good Samaritan Society in Beatrice, Wednesday.  Larry McKee was 83. 

McKee, who served a term as mayor of the city, was also a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and co-owned Beatrice Glass Company for 50 years. McKee was a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 60 years and was member of the Sesostris Shrine organization.

He is survived by his wife, Janice and two daughters…along with grandchildren and great grandchildren.
