Lincoln Police arrest suspect in US Bank robbery

Police have arrested a man they believe robbed a Lincoln bank last week.

LINCOLN, Neb. -- Police have arrested a man they believe robbed a Lincoln bank last week.

LPD said the robbery happened at the US Bank near 27th and Superior on Wednesday.

Authorities said after releasing surveillance photos of the person who robbed the bank, Lincoln Police established 29-year-old Michael McNeil as the suspect.

Officers said they contacted McNeil Saturday during a traffic stop near 26th and Cornhusker. He was taken into custody for robbery.

Officials said no weapon was displayed during the incident.

According to authorities, the suspect handed the teller a note demanding money and was given an undisclosed amount of cash.
