NDOT continues maintenance projects this summer

Focus this week is on ten miles of U.S. Highway 136.

BEATRICE — Summertime is highway maintenance time.  A project got underway Thursday on U.S. Highway 136, east of Beatrice.

The Nebraska Department of Transportation says asphalt maintenance work is being done with a binder and aggregate.

The chip seal, as its called...will be done over ten miles from east of Beatrice to Filley.   The work is expected to take two days to complete, and traffic will be maintained with a pilot car and flaggers.

Earlier, crews did similar work on U.S. Highway 136 both west and east of Fairbury.
