GENEVA, NE — Geneva Purple finished atop all three SFS Baseball divisions in 2022.

The team defeated Exeter-Milligan 10-1 in four innings Thursday night to claim the American Division (12u) championship. 

Geneva Purple plated its 10 runs on nine hits and three Exeter-Milligan errors. They got off to a quick start, scoring four runs in the top of the first inning. Exeter-Milligan got their lone run in the bottom of the first on a home run by Will Kallhoff.

Geneva Purple kept things going with two runs in the second, one in the third inning and three more runs in the fourth. 

Exeter-Milligan got runners on second and third in the bottom of the fourth, but failed to get any runs, bringing the game to an end. 

Max Aguilera from Geneva was the player of the game, striking out five batters on the mound and hitting an inside-the-park home run in the win. 

With the win, Geneva Purple completed the sweep of winning all three SFS Baseball championships. They defeated Plymouth 4-3 in the National Division (15u) title game and won the PeeWee division with a 12-1 win over Wilber.
