FAIRBURY, NE — A second person is in custody regarding a robbery in southeast Nebraska from earlier this year.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, 42-year-old Michall A. Gillians of Lincoln was arrested Tuesday in connection to a robbery at the McDonald's in Fairbury that occurred in April. Authorities issued an arrest warrant for Gillians arrest on June 9. He was apprehended in Lincoln by the U.S. Marshal's Task Force.

He is being held in Jefferson County Jail on $100,000 bond.

"This warrant came from hours of investigation into the incident with the cooperation of many witnesses and citizens of Fairbury," Jefferson County Sheriff Nick Georgi said in a statement.

Authorities arrested the other suspect, 34-year-old Marzeanis Coleman, of Lincoln, the night of the incident.

The robbery happened the night of April 16. Police received a call from an employee saying a coworker had been assaulted during a robbery. Responding officers saw two people run from the scene and get into a car. Police then chased them east from Fairbury in a pursuit that reached speeds of 125 miles-per-hour.

The car eventually crashed in west Beatrice and the two fled on foot. Police searched the area and arrested Coleman, but couldn't find anyone else at the time.

The employee who was assaulted was treated for serious, but non life-threatening injuries.
