Firefighters battle vacant house fire in Lincoln

Lincoln Fire and Rescue responded to a fire on the northwest side of the city early Tuesday morning.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Lincoln Fire and Rescue responded to a fire on the northwest side of the city early Tuesday morning.

The home near 11th Street and Furnas Avenue is vacant.

LFR said the fire started in the basement and the cause is under investigation.

Authorities have closed 11th Street, from Garber to Butler, so drivers may need to find an alternate route.
