BEATRICE – Two top student-athletes at Beatrice High School were honored Monday night by the board of education, for their accomplishments in spring sports.

BHS Activities Director Gus Brown says baseball player Tucker Timmerman had a stellar season.  "Tucker was selected as Super State....all-class in baseball. He set a couple different school records with a point-341 ERA which is just unbelievable...and he batted .507 this year. He was also selected all-conference...and was an all-conference captain, as the top vote-getter."

Also recognized Monday night was Beatrice Orangemen golfer Trey Baehr, who had a solid spring and a great finish to the season.

"He finished fourth in the Class-B state championship out in Scottsbluff. He also medaled in all eleven meets this year. That's the first time that's ever happened at Beatrice High School. He was a district champion and named Super State...the top five Class B placers and top seven Class A...by the Nebraska Coaches Association."

Good news for the Orangemen baseball and golf teams….both Timmerman and Baehr have a year left competing for BHS…..they will be seniors, this coming school year.
