Fatality accident victim has been identified

The Lincoln Police Department has identified the man who died over the weekend in a motorcycle/vehicle accident.

LINCOLN, Neb. -- The Lincoln Police Department has identified the man who died over the weekend in a motorcycle/vehicle accident. 

LPD said that the 24-year-old Lincoln man has been identified as Keith Doering. 

According to LPD officers around 9:50 p.m. on Saturday, a black 2015 Yamaha YZFR6 motorcycle was traveling northbound on South 84th Street when it struck a white 202 Jeep Renegade SUV that had been southbound on S 84th St. and was turning left onto Augusta Drive. 

Authorities said that Doering was driving the motorcycle; he had succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene. 

LPD said they would like to extend their condolences to the family and friends of Doering. They would also ask the public to respect their privacy as they grieve the loss of their loved one. 

This is an ongoing investigation.
