Three people from Nevada arrested on drug, weapons charges in Seward County

Three people from Nevada are facing numerous charges after a traffic stop in eastern Nebraska this week.

SEWARD, Neb. -- Three people from Nevada are facing numerous charges after a traffic stop in southeast Nebraska this week.

The Seward County Sheriff's Office says a deputy was filling up his patrol car with gas on Monday when he reportedly smelled marijuana coming from a vehicle that was also stopped to get gas.

The deputy searched the vehicle and reportedly found a small amount of marijuana, but also two pounds of crystal meth and two handguns.

The vehicle was occupied by three people, two of whom were convicted felons.

The three, all from Nevada, are facing drug and weapons charges.
