Arrests made in homicide investigation
Three have been arrested in connection to the homicide investigation of a 57-year-old man in Lincoln.
LINCOLN, Neb. -- Three have been arrested in connection to the homicide investigation of a 57-year-old man in Lincoln.
Lincoln Police said late Thursday that three people have been arrested in connection with the incident which happened around 6:30 a.m. in the area of 28th and F Streets.
When officers arrived, they found the 57-year-old man who was unresponsive, he was taken to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
Lancaster County said that a deputy saw the suspects getting into two different vehicles at the U-Suds, 946 South 27.
LCD said that traffic stops were conducted on both vehicles and five people were contacted.
After the traffic stops, 32-year-old Derrick Pearson and 31-year-old Briana Jelinek were arrested for manslaughter and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
25-year-old Micah Berggren was arrested for second-degree assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
The investigation is ongoing. Police said more information on the incident will be released Friday.
