Thayer County Sheriff provides update on case of missing Deshler woman
DESHLER, NE — Authorities have provided an update into their investigation into a missing Deshler woman.
The Thayer County Sheriff's Office says their investigation determined 26-year-old Clarissa Martin left the area and has chosen not to return.
Authorities say deputies have talked to Martin's friends who shared text message conversations with authorities and indicated they have also FaceTimed with Martin.
Even with the signs Martin is okay, authorities say the case will stay active and she will remain in a nationwide data base until police are 100 percent certain Martin is safe.
The case will remain active until Martin has a face-to-face conversation with authorities.
"Clarissa, we really need to visit with you in person, please call us and let us know when that can happen," the Thayer County Sheriff's Office wrote in an update.
Martin was reported missing Thursday last week, sparking the investigation.
