BEATRICE – What was eleven, is now eight.  That’s how many candidates move on to the November General Election, in the race for a total of four spots open on the Beatrice School Board.

Long-time incumbent Doris Martin led the way in unofficial May Primary voting with 2,101.  Challenger Brandon Vetrovsky finished a strong second, with 1,747 votes…..third place going to current School Board President Eric Trusty, with 1,423….and fourth place to Charles Riedesul, with 1,297.

Candidates in the fifth through eighth positions included Roger Aden with 1,209 votes, Nelson Dungan with 1,167, Sabrina Glynn with 1,066 and board incumbent Erin Chadwick with 948 votes.

Eliminated in the Primary were Joseph Brewer (624), Crystal Anderson (612) and Matt Anderson (577).
