Beatrice Country Club holds high school invite on Monday

Class A and B teams from all across eastern Nebraska competed at Beatrice Country Club on Monday in the 2022 Beatrice golf invite.

BEATRICE - Class A and B teams from all across eastern Nebraska competed at Beatrice Country Club on Monday in the 2022 Beatrice golf invite. 

On the Class B side of things, it was the Norris Titans scoring the win in the 13 team event. The Titans shot a team total of 329, 15 shots ahead of the York Dukes who came home runner-up. Beatrice finished fifth in the event, with a score of 364. 

Creighton Prep won Class A with a score of 314 in the 10-team field. Gretna came home second with a score of 317, Lincoln East came home third with a score of 318. 

Individually, in Class B, York's Emmanuel Jensen won a score of 77 (+5), followed by Aurora's Cuay Walters with a 78 (+6), and Norris' Carson Thurber with a 79 (+7). Beatrice's Sam Wallman came home fourth and another Titan in the top five was Logan Thurber who finished the day fifth. 

In Class A, it was Will Topolski of Lincoln East who shot the clubhouse low score of the day with a 73 (+1). Three golfers tied for second with a score of 76, those being Creighton Prep's Luke Strako, Gretna's Nolan Johnson, and Creighton Prep's Connor Steichen.
