Top performers in Beatrice High School Athletics, honored

Beatrice Public School Board honors athletes for performances this year....

BEATRICE – Beatrice Public Schools officials Monday night honored athletes who have excelled this year in competition.

They include lineman Caleb Jones, a leader on the Orangemen football team who has been named to the Nebraska Shrine Bowl lineup this summer.  Elliott Jurgens was also named to the Shrine Bowl and is a Class B First-Team All-State selection in basketball. 

Autumn Bartlett became the Beatrice Lady Orange first-ever medalist in girl’s wrestling, at the Nebraska State tournament.

Orangemen Wrestlers Bryce Karlin, Trevor Reinke, Torrance Keehn and Deegan Nelson were recognized for medaling at the Nebraska boys wrestling tournament.

Members of the Black Diamond Dancers at BHS were also recognized Monday night for their runner-up finish in the state high-kick division. 

Superintendent Jason Alexander noted all the students perform well on and off the field or court and are great ambassadors for Beatrice Public Schools.
