BEATRICE – A highway collision in Wymore Thursday morning was caused by a vehicle crossing the centerline and colliding with another.

Gage County Sheriff’s deputies say a Pontiac Vibe driven by  20-year-old Elizabeth Sayers of Wymore was traveling south on U.S. Highway 77 when  her vehicle crossed the center line and collided with a northbound Chrysler Pacifica van, driven by 38-year-old Lovone Rabstejnek, of Wymore.

Sayers told authorities she apparently fell asleep before her vehicle crossed the centerline.

No injuries were reported at the scene, but the driver of the van admitted herself and three children for examination for injuries. Wymore Fire and Rescue responded to the scene.

The collision happened near U.S. 77 and H Street, at around 8 a.m., Thursday.  The driver of the Pontiac was cited for driving left of center.
