BEATRICE - It's a Monday night that Beatrice fans will remember for years.

The Lady O and Orangemen dominated Plattsmouth to sweep the night and Elliot Jurgens dropped his 1,000th point in the process.

The Lady Orange dominated from tip to final buzzer, beating the Blue Devils 45-15. They allowed just one singular point in the first quarter and quickly built up a 30-point second half lead. At the break, seven Lady Orange saw the court, and all seven scored. Beatrice was led in scoring by Ellie Jurgens with 10.

15 points tied the fewest points allowed by Beatrice this season, dating back to the season opener win over Nebraska City on December 3.

The Orangemen led by six at the break, but were able to pull away in the second half. One of the big factors... free throws. Beatrice was 22/29 at the line while Plattsmouth went 5/17. It was also on a free throw that Jurgens would hit 1K. Beatrice would win the game 55-42.

Beatrice also had some nice performances out of other pieces they'll need ready for another postseason run, such as Tucker Timmerman with 13, Shelton Crawford with 10, and Crew Meints who scored five, while also creating a lot of offense with his passing and grabbed a slew of rebounds.

Beatrice wraps up the season with a Thursday double-header at Waverly.
