Authorities have released the name of the deceased shooter in a Monday night domestic violence issue.

ADAMS, NE -- Authorities have released the name of the deceased shooter in a Monday night domestic violence issue.
Thomas Sharp, 40, was found dead inside the house from a self-inflicted gunshot wound when officials gained entry Tuesday morning. Sharp struck his wife multiple times and then pointed a gun at her, shooting her in the hand, leading to a nine hour stand off with police. She and her children were able to escape and she was taken to a Lincoln hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A day after the shooting, the house located at 8th/Elm in Adams, is surrounded by yellow police tape stretching across the street and side of the backyard. A few members of law enforcement remained on scene Tuesday afternoon, with NSP vehicles filtering in and out. Under cover law enforcement were also seen going in and out of the house continuing investigations.
Freeman Public Schools had a late start Tuesday as a result of ongoing investigation.
