Elected nine times, Gage County District Court Clerk not seeking another term

Diane Wells will have served 37 years in court clerk position

BEATRICE – Long-time Gage County District Court Clerk Diane Wells is opting not to seek reelection to the post she’s held for almost four decades.

Wells, a Democrat, was initially appointed to the position, then ran and won election to the post, nine times…..serving four-year terms. 

One of her office staff members, Phyllis Schoen, of Pickrell is running for the position of Clerk of District Court.  Schoen, a Republican, formerly worked for several years in the Gage County Court office.  

Meanwhile, an incumbent office-holder in Gage County has filed for reelection.  Donna Remmers-Munoz, of Pickrell is seeking another term as Gage County Register of Deeds, running as a Republican.
