No serious injuries in early Friday collision, near Beatrice

BEATRICE – Gage County Sheriff’s Deputies and Beatrice Fire and Rescue were sent to a highway accident southwest of Beatrice, early Friday.

A two-vehicle accident happened on U.S. Highway 136, near the junction with Southwest 75th Road.  The accident scene is about four miles southwest of Beatrice.

A Gage County Sheriff’s Deputy says there were no serious injuries in the collision.  A Beatrice Fire and Rescue ambulance and Beatrice Rural Fire truck were waved off before they reached the scene.

Few details are yet available on the direction each vehicle was traveling.

The accident sent authorities to the scene at 5:54 a.m., when the temperature was six-degrees above zero.   The highway did not appear to be icy, at the time of the wreck.
