Beatrice has a number in the loss column for the first time this season.
OMAHA - Beatrice has a number in the loss column for the first time this season.
In the final contest before the holiday break, the Orangemen ventured to Omaha for the second straight game, but fell to Omaha Skutt 49-40. Beatrice hasn't won a game over the Skyhawks since 2017.
Omaha Skutt's size, length, and defensive pressure forced Beatrice to take tough and suffer long possession's making it hard to mount a significant comeback when they'd get down by more than just a couple possessions.
Elliot Jurgens' 18 points were good enough for a game high, 14 coming in the fourth quarter. Jake Brack had 15 for Skutt.
The Orangemen are off until the holiday tournament in North Platte.
