PLYMOUTH, NE - Many in southeast Nebraska are picking up debris after a severe storm caused extensive damage across the region.

City staff in Plymouth spent the late afternoon working to remove three downed trees at the intersection of Rose and Columbus streets. In nearby Beatrice, the airport recorded a gust of 86 miles per hour at 3:35 PM. Norris Public Power District reported more than 6,000 customers without power in its coverage area.
