BEATRICE, NE - Today's wild winds are blowing through southeast Nebraska.

Traffic is moving normally through the midday hours but signs of the abnormal wind are all around. Debris, tree limbs and flags are all whipping in the breeze. The Beatrice Arby's slapped a notice on its drive thru to make sure customers grip their cash strongly when handing it to the cashier.

Trash day in Beatrice had unfortunate timing. Drivers on some roads are dodging trash bins that have blown onto the streets. The Beatrice Airport registered a 47 mile-per-hour gust at 12:35. Winds are expected to increase through the afternoon and into the early evening hours.

Gage County is included in a Tornado Watch that lasts until 8:00 PM for the eastern half of Nebraska.
