BEATRICE – A two-vehicle accident west of Pickrell Tuesday night caused minor injuries.   It happened when a vehicle pulled from a private drive and collided with another, on West Pickrell Road.

Gage County Sheriff Millard Gustafson says a 2020 Lexus UX driven by 46-year-old Scott Stedman was pulling onto Pickrell Road from a private drive when it collided with an eastbound 2015 Nissan Juke, driven by 27-year-old Gabrielle Martinez, of Pickrell.

After colliding, the vehicles ended up in opposite ditches.

Martinez and a passenger in the Lexus were taken to Beatrice Community Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.  Stedman declined medical treatment.

Stedman was ticketed for failure to yield.   Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.

Pickrell Fire and Beatrice Rural Fire and rescue units responded to the 8:20 p.m. accident.
