Pickups collide at rural intersection, west of Beatrice

BEATRICE – A rural intersection accident five miles west of Beatrice injured a passenger, on Saturday.

Gage County Sheriff’s Officers say an eastbound pickup driven by 49-year-old Aaron Crooks had stopped at a sign at West Scott and Southwest 117th Road. 

When he proceeded across Southwest 117th, his truck was hit by a northbound pickup driven by 46-year-old Roy Wasson, of Hickman. One of two juvenile passengers in Wasson’s truck was taken to Beatrice Community Hospital for treatment of injuries.  No other injuries were reported. 

Law officers cited the driver of the eastbound pickup, for failure to yield. 

Beatrice Rural Fire also responded to the accident, late Saturday morning.
