Two local basketball players give back with kids camp

Northern Colorado’s Dru Kuxhausen and WNCC’s Carter Brown teaching kids the art of shooting.

MORRILL, Neb. (KNEP) - Scottsbluff High School graduate Dru Kuxhausen and Ogallala High School alum Carter Brown took time out their summer to give kids lessons on the sport of basketball.

The duo were in Morrill over the weekend holding a shooter’s basketball camp for kids.

Students from the 1st to 12th grades were on hand Saturday and Sunday learning basketball skills which consisted of everything from shooting to passing to dribbling.

Kuxhausen is one of college basketball’s all time three point shooters and he’s set to play one final season after transferring to Northern Colorado.

While Brown is expected to have a big sophomore season at Western Nebraska Community College.
