FAIRBURY, NE — Three people are in jail after authorities searched a home in Fairbury on Friday morning.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office says deputies conducted a search warrant on a residence in the 1000 block of Ash Street. Deputies say they found narcotics, drug paraphernalia and items believed to be used for distributing drugs.

Authorities arrested 49-year-old John Seefus, 44-year-old Coleen Sanderson and 40-year-old Dustin Powers on suspicion of drug charges. Seefus is also suspected of a weapons violation. According to court documents, he had an existing warrant for his arrest after failing to appear for a drug sentencing in January. The Sheriff’s Office says Sanderson also has an extraditable warrant out of Dickinson County, Kansas.

The case remains under investigation.
