Jake Gardner, Indicted For Shooting Death Of James Scurlock, Dead By Suicide

The man facing manslaughter charges for the shooting death of James Scurlock has died by suicide according to his attorney.

OMAHA - The man facing manslaughter charges for the shooting death of James Scurlock has died by suicide according to his attorney.

Jake Gardner's attorneys say that Gardner's body was found Sunday in Oregon, where he was visiting family. A warrant for Gardner's arrest was issued after a grand jury indicted him for manslaughter and other charges in the death of Scurlock.

Police in Hillsboro, OR say Gardner was found outside a medical clinic in the 300 block of Southeast Ninth Avenue around 12:20 PM. Hillsboro PD says no further details regarding the incident will be released at this time.
