Humboldt, Nebraska Man Dies in Kansas Collision

Head-on collision is fatal for one of the drivers

BEATRICE – A Richardson County, Nebraska man died in a northeast Kansas collision that happened Saturday night, in Brown County.

66-year-old Glenn Aston, of Humboldt was driving north on U.S. Highway 75 when a southbound 2003 Ford-F-150 pickup driven by 46-year-old Lana Bachman, of Centralia, Kansas crossed the center line, colliding head on with Aston’s 2002 Chrysler Town and Country.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says Aston was killed in the collision.  Bachman was taken to Stormont Vail Medical Center in Topeka for treatment of suspected serious injuries.   

The highway patrol said Aston was not using a safety restraint, while Bachman was using a seatbelt. 

The accident occurred about four miles south of Fairview, Kansas…at around 10:40 p.m., Saturday.
