FAIRBURY, NE — The Whippets are out and the Clippers are in.

Minden announced on its website Thursday morning that an “increased number of Minden football players (are) currently out due to confirmed and presumed cases of COVID-19.”  The outbreak forced the Whippets to cancel their opening game against Fairbury.

Fairbury Activities Director David Davis says the Jeffs found out about the cancellation Wednesday night.  Thursday morning, he was in touch with Malcolm’s Athletic Director. The Clippers’ first game is canceled because of an outbreak with the Milford football team.

Fairbury will now play at Malcolm next Friday with a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.  Per NSAA policy, the game will not count towards wild card points.
