If you won a big lottery jackpot, what's the first thing you'd buy?  Hopefully not this . . .

A 59-year-old woman in Deltona, Florida named Migdalia Cruz recently won $20,000 on a scratch-off ticket.  And she took her 39-year-old son Luis with her to claim her money on Tuesday.

Then a few hours later, they both got arrested for DRUGS.

Right after they got home, police showed up with a warrant.  And the son had three bags of heroin and fentanyl on him.

We're assuming they used some of their winnings to buy the drugs, but it's not clear.  And it sounds like they were already on the cops' radar for dealing.

Police found more drugs when they searched their house, and arrested both of them.  Another woman who was there also got arrested.

The mom got released on $5,000 bail.  Last we heard, the son was still being held on a $36,000 bond.
