John L. Karenbauer

John L. Karenbauer, 49 years of age, of Fairbury passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026. He was born on September 4, 1976 in Kearney to John and Janet (Thaut) Karenbauer. John was baptized in the United Methodist Church in Fairbury. He graduated from Fairbury High School in 1995. John worked numerous farm jobs and at Husqvarna in Beatrice. He married Veronica Pingetzer on November 5, 2001 and to this union, two daughters were born. They later divorced. John was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Fairbury and enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping and spending time with his dog, Maggie. 

John is survived by his daughters, Sam Karenbauer, Jessica Karenbauer; mother, Janet Karenbauer, all of Fairbury; brother, Reg Ayres of Paola, Kansas; sister, Missy Schultz and husband Matt of Fairbury; nieces and nephews, Evan and Oliva Ayres, Tripp and Chase Schultz; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father.
