SUTTON, Neb. - The Sutton Fillies are advancing to the Class D-1 state tournament after a 49-23 win over Tri County Friday night.

A dominating second quarter helped Sutton pull away as they outscored the Trojans 18-4 in the frame to build up a 16 point halftime advantage.

Tri County struggled to shoot the ball, going 1/8 at the free throw line and 2/16 from beyond the arc.

Isabelle Peterson, who became Tri County's career scoring leader earlier this season, led the Trojans with 10 points. Sutton was led by Isabelle Trejo who contributed 12 off the bench.

The Trojans end the year 17-9, while Sutton improves to 20-7 and punches their ticket to Lincoln.
