Snow strengthens, drifts begin to take form in Southeast Nebraska

BEATRICE, Neb. - The long awaited winter storm has arrived in southeast Nebraska. 

As of 10:00 a.m. Sunday, about snow continued to fall with high winds leading to drifting and low visibility. City of Beatrice plow crews worked streets inside city limits while plows also worked on Highway 4 and 136. 

Roads around Beatrice and outside of town were at least partially, with most completely, covered in snow or ice. 

Snow is expected to continue into the early evening hours on Sunday.
