Inmate from Douglas County dies during incarceration

An inmate that was from Douglas County was recently declared dead while he was incarcerated.

LINCOLN, Neb. -- An inmate that was from Douglas County was recently declared dead while he was incarcerated.

Officials said 53-year-old Victor Ozuna died on Oct. 9 at the Reception and Treatment Center.

According to court documents, Ozuna was serving a 32 to 40 year sentence at RTC. He was convicted for first-degree sexual assault in Douglas County and started his sentence on Sept. 26, 2016.
