TECUMSEH, Neb. -- An inmate at Tecumseh State Correctional Institution (TSCI) died on Thursday.

According to officials, 41-year-old Kevin Miller died at Johnson County Hospital while serving a life sentence.

The report said Miller was sentenced on charges out of Lancaster County for first-degree murder and use of a firearm to commit a felony.

Officials said that while they have not determined the cause of death at the moment, Miller was being treated for a medial condition that he had. Whenever an inmate dies in the custody of the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS), a grand jury will conduct an investigation.
